JD Gustin announced on Wednesday the signing of talented Idaho prep guard
Paige Cofer to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Trailblazer program for the 2024-25 season.
"Paige is relentless and constantly active on both ends of the floor playing with an energy and passion that is unique," Coach Gustin said. "She also has great versatility with good size for her position and has the ability to guard both bigs and smalls. She is definitely one of the top players in the Western United States and we are thrilled she chose Utah Tech."
Cofer (5-11; Eagle, Idaho) was a 2023
Idaho Statesman 5A first team all-state selection after she averaged 16.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and nearly two steals a game during her junior season at Eagle High School.
The 2024-25 freshman-to-be averaged 24.5 points in the Mustangs' state playoff run on her way to breaking the school's single season scoring record with 460 points.
