Utah Tech fell 2-0 to Utah Valley in the regular season finale on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Utah Tech started out on the front foot firing a shot off of a 1st minute corner kick but
Brynlee Roberts was unable to find it in the back of the net.
As the half progressed the Wolverines were able to find some consistent possession and able to get a slew of chances off but the Trailblazer defense held strong against the attack. Goalkeeper Brianna Frey had three first-half saves in just her second ever collegiate appearance.
At the half the match was all level 0-0.
Coming out of the halftime break the Trailblazers fell victim to the Wolverine attack. The Wolverines were able to find back-to-back goals in the 53rd and 55th minute to put the Trailblazers down 2-0.
Through the rest of the second half the Trailblazers fought for a comeback but were unable to find a shot on goal. After 90 minutes the Trailblazers would suffer a 2-0 loss to close out WAC play.Â
STAT BREAKDOWN: Utah Tech had three shots. Utah Valley ended the match with 28 total shots with eight on frame.Â
Brianna Frey got her second collegiate start in the net and played the full 90. She ended the game with five saves and allowed two goals.Â
NOTES TO KNOW: Utah Tech finished the season with a 10-5-2 record overall on the season and 6-3-2 in WAC action.
UP NEXT: Utah Tech will return to Seattle for the 2022 WAC Conference Championship starting on Nov. 2. The tournament will run through Nov. 6.
