Utah Tech gets four set win over NMSU

Utah Tech volleyball  snapped a four match losing streak Saturday afternoon thanks to a four set win over New Mexico State.

What Head Coach Camilla Hafoka said: "We had a tough loss on Thursday but our girls came back hungry today. They believed they could win. They didn't sit back and wait for something to happen, they went out there and competed and made something happen and it resulted in a win."

How it happened: Utah Tech captured the momentum early in the first set by going on a 7-0 run to take an 11-4 lead. The Trailblazers never let up and pushed on for a 25-15 victory with the final point coming from a kill by Whittnee Nihipali

The score was within one point throughout the beginning of the second set. UT had a 13-12 lead and went on a 6-0 run leaving NMSU in the dust. The Trailblazers finished the set with another kill by Nihipali for a 25-17 win.

Up two sets in the match, UT just needed one more set to claim the sweep but the Aggies didn't walk away with a goose egg.
