OPENING TIP:Â Dixie State women's basketball will hit the road for a pair of games. First, the Trailblazers will take on in-state rival Utah State before heading to Boulder, Colo. to take on PAC-12 opponent Colorado.

BEANS AND THE TRIPLE DOUBLE: Junior,
Breaunna Gillen recorded a triple double against Life Pacific with 14 points, 10 Rebounds and 11 Assists. She's the second Trailblazer in school history to record a triple double.
Previously during the 2009-10 season, Deanna Daniels recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds and 12 steals. The 12 steals is the current school record.
BLAZING INTO CAREER HIGHS: Junior
Emily Isaacson breached a new career high against Kansas City popping off for 22 points going 5-9 from the three and 8-12 from the field. This is the first time in her career she hit 20 points in a game.
WARREN TWINS: Freshman Maddie and
Macie Warren have made a statement in their collegiate debut year so far. Maddie has started in all five games so far this year. Maddie is averaging double figures scoring with 11.2 points per game. She has recorded 16 assists and five steals. Macie comes off the bench and averages 7.2 points per game.
Combined the pair has scored 93 total points with a combined average of 18 points per game. Both are shooting over .400 from the field.
HOME SWEET HOME: Since joining the NCAA ranks in 2006-07, Dixie State has played to a 115-59 (.660) overall record in the Burns Arena. Under Head Coach
JD Gustin, DSU is 36-26 (.580) at home which includes the 2-1 record this season.

RECORD BREAKING SEASON DEBUT: Dixie State started the 2021-22 season off with a bang. After not playing a single game in nearly a year, the Trailblazers opened with a record breaking game in the 107-57 win over Life Pacific.

• Broke the record for most made 3-point field goals in a game.
• Broke the record for most attempted 3-point field goals in a game.
• #4 in school history in largest victory margin with 50 points
• Tied #3 in school history for assists in a game with 28.
MEET THE 2021-22 TRAILBLAZERS: Dixie State begins its second D-I season with three returning starters from 2020-21.
  The Trailblazers have one senior on this year's squad in
Shanaijah Davison a transfer from Long Beach State.
  There are five juniors on the team this year.
Maggie McCord,
Emily Isaacson and
Breaunna Gillen are all returning for their third year as Trailblazers.
Talia Sireni and
Taylia Stimpson are new to Dixie this year. Stimpson is a transfer from Georgetown while Sireni comes to DSU from San Diego State.
  Just two sophomores are on the squad, both returning, in
Brooke Vance and
Vegas Camacho.
  Three freshmen will vie for playing time this year, including Maddie and
Macie Warren as well as
Averi Papa.
UP NEXT: Dixie State begins a four game home series. First DSU will host a pair of NAIA foes in Simpson (Dec. 11) and Westcliff (Dec. 14). Preseason action will come to end before the holidays as the Trailblazers host Air Force (Dec.18) and in-state foe Southern Utah (Dec. 21).
