Women's Tennis closes fall schedule with sweep of Colorado College

Dixie State women's tennis closed its fall schedule in style on Saturday, rolling to a 7-0 sweep of Colorado College at the Elliott Tennis Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.
 
The Trailblazers (3-3) set the tone with wins in all three doubles match to claim the doubles point. Isabel Heras and Juliana Honczaruk cruised to 6-1 win at No. 1 while Alexandra Hildreth and Anna Peterson duplicated the feat at No. 3. Megan Lynch and Emma Templeman claimed a 6-3 triumph at No. 3 to wrap up doubles play.
 
Dixie State carried the momentum into singles play, dropping just one set en route to winning each singles match. Templeman and Lynch set the scene during singles play, as Templeman played to a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 3, and Lynch posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4. Hildreth earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2 to officially clinch the match, while Heras claimed a 7-6 (5), 6-2 triumph at No. 1. Honczaruk battled to a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 5, and Katelyn Longson secured the complete sweep with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 comeback victory at No. 5.
 
The Trailblazers conclude the fall portion of their schedule with a 3-3 record and will resume play in February.
