Saturday Softball games cancelled

Rain continues to wreak havoc on Dixie State Classic

The Saturday games of the Dixie State Softball Classic at Karl Brooks Field have been cancelled due to more rainfall that occurred early Saturday morning.

Dixie State softball coaches and staff worked throughout the day on Friday to have the field ready for Saturday's games after heavy rainfall throughout the day on Thursday. However, more rain moved through the area early Saturday morning and rendered the field unplayable.

Sunday's schedule remains the same with Adelphi and St. Edward's opening the day at 10 a.m. Dixie State and St. Edward's will then play at 12:30 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. matchup for Western Oregon and Adelphi. Dixie State and Western Oregon will close the day with a 5:30 p.m. matchup.

DSU and WOU are also still scheduled for an 11 a.m. matchup on Monday.
