Saturated field conditions force game cancellations

Friday's games at the Dixie State Softball Classic at Karl Brooks Field have been cancelled after steady rain throughout the day on Thursday has rendered the playing surface unplayable.

Dixie State was scheduled to open the tournament vs. St. Edward's on Friday at 1 p.m., followed by a 3:30 p.m. matchup between St. Edward's and Western Oregon. However, the saturated field conditions forced the teams to cancel the two contests.

The tournament will proceed as scheduled on Saturday at 10 a.m. The Trailblazers will play their first game at 12:30 p.m. against St. Edward's.
