Women’s Tennis swept by Cal State LA Monday, 9-0

The Dixie State women's tennis team closed its two-match southern California trip with a 9-0 loss to Cal State LA on Monday in Los Angeles, California.

The Trailblazers (3-5) looked to get a point in doubles play when Kyra Harames (Spokane, Wash./Central Valley) and Sabrina Longson (Salt Lake City, Utah/Olympus) forced a tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles. CSULA won the tiebreaker and secured an 8-7 win to sweep the doubles matches.

The Golden Eagles carried the momentum into singles play, taking all six singles matches. Hattie Erekson (St. George, Utah/Pine View) came closest to a DSU point at No. 6 singles, falling 7-6, 6-2.

The Trailblazers will host Biola on Saturday at 10 a.m.
