ALL-TIME VS. CHADRON STATE: Saturday's game marks the second meeting between Dixie State and Chadron State. The Trailblazers rolled to a 44-27 win in Chadron, Nebraska, last season in the inaugural matchup between the teams. Dixie State racked up 470 yards (370 rush) of total offense and five rushing touchdowns in the contest, building a 38-0 lead before the Eagles found the end zone in the third quarter. Saturday's game marks the first time the teams have met at Legend Solar Stadium.

KNOW YOUR FOE: Chadron State enters Saturday's matchup with a 3-2 overall record and a 3-1 mark in RMAC play. The Eagles opened the season with a 25-19 win at Fort Lewis before dropping a 24-10 decision to Colorado Mesa in Chadron. Since the loss to the Mavericks, the Eagles have won two of their last three games with wins over Western State (49-7) and Adams State (73-26) and a 56-13 loss at Humboldt State.

Chadron State averages 411.4 yards of total offense (296.8 pass/114.6 rush) per game. Freshman quarterback Dalton Holst ranks third in the RMAC in passing, averaging 245.8 yards per game through the air. Holst has completed 99-of-187 passes for 1,229 yards and seven touchdowns with six interceptions. Sophomore receiver Jackson Dickerson has been Holst's favorite target with 38 receptions for 397 yards, while three other Eagle receivers have made at least two touchdown catches.

Defensively, the Eagles allow 343.8 yards (202.2 pass/141.6 rush) per game. Sophomore linebacker Keenan Johnson ranks sixth in the RMAC with 42 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Senior safety Ryan Wood is second on the CSC roster with 39 tackles, while senior defensive tackle Truett Box is third with 35 tackles (5.5 for loss).

MAKING HISTORY: Senior linebacker Noe Perez (Santa Ana, Calif./Los Amigo HS) tied the DSU single-game record with three sacks at Western State on Saturday. Perez matched the effort first recorded by Nick Rocco at Central Washington in 2010.

LEADING THE LEAGUE: Through five games Dixie State leads the RMAC in pass defense (151.6 yards per game) and pass defense efficiency (74-144-5, 51.4 completion percentage, 100.1 efficiency rating). The Trailblazers rank second in kickoff coverage (41.7 return yards per game) and opponent third down conversion (23-74).

LAST TIME OUT: Dixie State rallied from an early 9-0 deficit at Western State in Gunnison, Colorado, to earn a 15-12 victory over the Mountaineers last week. The Trailblazers outgained Western State 367-208 and did not allow an offensive touchdown.

FACULTY AND STAFF APPRECIATION DAY: Saturday's game will serve as the Trailblazers Annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day. As a thank you for their hard work for the DSU student-athletes, coaches, and teams, all Dixie State faculty and staff will receive four free general admission tickets to the game.

NEXT UP: Dixie State will play host to No. 21 Colorado Mesa next Saturday at 6 p.m. at Legend Solar Stadium.
