For the second time in as many weeks, the Dixie State football team looks to bounce back from a double-digit loss, as the Red Storm play host to Western Oregon in a Friday night matchup at Hansen Stadium. LAST MEETING: Oct. 11, 2014. Dixie State held Western Oregon to three points in the second half, but the Red Storm could not take advantage of late opportunities as the Wolves escaped with a 19-14 victory at McArthur Field in Monmouth, Ore. The Storm looked poised to take the lead, but a

ALL-TIME VS. WOU: Saturday's game marks the 16
th meeting between Dixie State and Western Oregon. The teams first met on Nov. 4, 2006 in Monmouth, Oreg. The Wolves defeated the Storm, 44-7, to grab the inaugural victory in the series. WOU won the next four meetings before Dixie State earned its first victory against the Wolves on Oct. 10, 2009, a 31-23 decision at Hansen Stadium. Since then, Western Oregon has won eight of the last nine meetings. The only other Red Storm win came on Sept. 8, 2012, a 24-10 home victory. WOU holds the series lead with a 13-2 mark.
CENTURY-MARK RUSHER: Senior running back Dejon Coleman surpassed the century mark in rushing for the second time this season with 101 yards on 13 carries, including a 60-yard run in the third quarter. Coleman's first 100-yard rushing game came on September 10 against Central Washington when he rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries. Coleman leads the GNAC and ranks 15
th nationally in rushing yards per carry (min. 10 rushes per game), averaging 7.1 yards per carry.
KNOW YOUR FOE: Western Oregon enters the game with a 1-3 overall record and a 0-1 mark in the GNAC. The Wolves started the season with a 29-20 road loss at Humboldt State, followed by a 31-14 home win over Simon Fraser. Since then, WOU has dropped consecutive contests to Central Washington (40-19) and Portland State (31-0). Saturday's game marks the fourth time the Wolves have played on the road this season.
WOU is predominantly a passing team, as the Wolves boast the No. 1 passing offense in the GNAC, averaging 272.8 yards per game. Senior quarterback Trey Shimabukuro leads the GNAC in passing yards with 269 yards per game, and has completed 85-of-147 passes for 1,076 yards and seven touchdowns with four interceptions. His favorite targets include redshirt sophomore Paul Revis (19 catches, 262 yards, TD) and redshirt junior Wesley Gray (19 catches, 237 yards, TD).
The Wolves rank second in the GNAC in total defense, allowing 178 yards per game in both passing and rushing. Senior linebacker Shane Kuenzi leads the attack with 34 tackles on the season.
