WEEKEND IN REVIEW
Dixie State not only battled against the visiting Cougars of Azusa Pacific last weekend, but also against Mother Nature. Twice lightning interrupted the series and rain delayed the finish of the second game of the series until Saturday morning. DSU had to comeback in the series opener and won 7-4 behind a three-run home run from Marla Reiter (Rolinda, CA/Central High School) in the sixth inning. On Saturday, the Storm completed a five-inning win, 13-4. Then the home team completed the four-game sweep with victories by the scores of 3-1 and 6-4. Dixie State improved their home record to 19-0 on the season.

ROSTER BREAKDOWN
Dixie State's roster features seven seniors, four juniors, three sophomores and four freshmen. The Storm picks from the western U.S. states with seven players from California, five players from Utah, three players from Arizona, two from Colorado and one from Washington.

LOOKING AT THE HAWKS
Holy Names enter this weekend's series to close the regular season with a victory over Menlo to break a five-game losing skid. HNU sits in 10th place in the PacWest with a 9-43 overall record and 5-25 league mark. The Hawks are 4-14 at home, 4-25 in road games and 1-4 on neutral fields. Offensively, only sophomore infielder Lyveana Ilayan is hitting above .300 for Holy Names. The team hits a collective .232 average while opponents are hitting at a .353 clip. Karolanne Tipton and Vanessa Pulido have thrown the bulk of the innings in the circle for HNU. Tipton is 6-12 with a 5.12 ERA while Pulido is 3-21 with a 5.29 earned run average.
