ST. GEORGE, Utah - The wins keep piling up for the No. 5 Dixie State softball team and the Red Storm now take a break from Pacific West Conference play for three non-conference games.

Dixie State (29-5, 20-0) will take on Division I opponent Southern Utah University (9-16) in Cedar City for one game on Wednesday, Mar. 25 at 4 p.m. DSU will turn around and host Colorado Mesa (18-13, 14-5) in a doubleheader on Thursday starting at 3 p.m. at Karl Brooks Field. Thursday's twin bill is a makeup day for the games rained out earlier this season.

The win steak is up to 23 games for the Red Storm after a four-game sweep of Academy of Art. Pitcher Aryn Feickert (Lancaster, CA/Highland ) picked up two wins in the series, including Dixie State's first perfect game in Division II history. She retired all 15 batters faced in five innings, striking out seven, and Josey Hartman (Mapleton, UT/Maple Mountain) smacked a two-run homer to win it 8-0 in the fifth.

The pitching has been a force with a team ERA down to 1.41 and an opposing batting average of just .201. Feickert is 12-3 and leads in strikeouts with 94 while Michelle Duncan (Gilbert, AZ/Gilbert High School) keeps on winning with a 16-0 record and an ERA of 0.91.

Courtney Hine (San Dimas, CA/San Dimas High School) continues to pace the bats, leading the Red Storm with a .436 batting average over 34 games. She has 41 hits in her 94 at bats and an on-base percentage of .542. She hit .750 in the Academy of Art series.

Nicole Chavez (Chino Hills, CA/Ayala High School) scored 10 runs over four games against Art U while the two catchers for the Red Storm, Marla Reiter (Rolinda, CA/Central High School) and Autumn Woodfall (Kaysville, UT/Davis High School), combined to hit .526 for the series with five doubles, two homers, 10 RBI and scored five runs.

DSU outscored the Urban Knights 41-7 over the four games and are outscoring opponents 243 to 61 this season.
