ST. GEORGE, Utah - Three seniors for the Dixie State women's basketball team will take the floor for the final time as members of the Red Storm in Saturday's game against Point Loma Nazarene.
Kaylah Miller (San Diego, CA/La Jolla Country Day), Haileigh Emerine (Spanish Fork, UT/Spanish Fork) and Taylor Maynes (Salome, AZ/Salome) will all be honored as part of Senior Night.
The Red Storm (8-17, 7-12) will look to finish off the season with a win, taking on Point Loma (16-10, 13-5) at 5 p.m. MT in the Burns Arena.
STORM STORYLINES
- Kaylah Miller (San Diego, CA/La Jolla Country Day) joined elite company, recording her 1,000th career point against HPU. She is just the second player in DSU's women's program to hit the 1,000 mark and currently sits at 1,013 career points. Johnna Brown is Dixie State's leading scorer with 1,212. Miller is the Red Storm's career leader in made 3-pointers with 199 and will be the first to ever hit 200.
- Haileigh Emerine (Spanish Fork, UT/Spanish Fork) is No. 6 in career rebounds with 362. She has 16 double-digit rebounding games and a career-best single game mark of 24 rebounds.
- Taylor Maynes (Salome, AZ/Salome) has averaged 5.2 points and 5.0 rebounds in her career, including marks of 8.2 and 7.4 this season.
