GEORGE, Utah - After eight matches on the road to begin the season, the Dixie State women's volleyball team open Pacific West Conference play with a weekend homestand on Friday and Saturday vs. Notre Dame de Namur and Dominican University.The Red Storm face Notre Dame de Namur Friday at 6 p.m. MT in the Student Activities Center (Old Gym). Two top 15 teams, and two more receiving votes made for a weekend where wins were hard to come by but the Red Storm finished strong, handing Alaska Anchorage its second loss of the season in a 3-2 victory.
ENTERING PACWEST PLAY: It's league play the rest of the way for Dixie State after eight non-conference matches. First up is Notre Dame de Namur and Dominican University in the comforts of the Student Activities Center in St. George, Utah.
NOTRE DAME DE NAMUR and DOMINICAN: Notre Dame de Namur enters this week's match hungry for its first win of the season. The Argos are 0-7 on the early season. Dominican is sitting at 2-6 on the year with wins over Montana State-Billings and Simon Fraser at the GNAC/PacWest Crossover.
