DSU held scoreless at CSULA

Storm open So. Cal. roadtrip on wrong end of shutout

Box Score LOS ANGELES -- Dixie State opened its four-game California road trip over consecutive weekends on the wrong end of a 4-0 shutout at the hands of host Cal State Los Angeles on Thursday.

"It was a disappointing result," DSU head coach Kacey Bingham said. "We need to start games better."

The Storm was outshot 21-7 for the match, including 13-4 on goal.

"We outplayed them in the second half, but coulcn't get our attack going,' Bingham added.

Jennifer Mason (Springville, UT) and Kaisa Rogers (Springville, UT) accounted for five of the seven shots for DIxie State (1-1-1). Four different Golden Eagles (3-0) scored with two goals coming in each of the first and second half.

DSU plays on Saturday afternoon against the Coyotes of Cal State San Bernardino.
