Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ST. GEORGE, UT -- The No. 22 Dixie State softball team split a crucial series with No. 3 California Baptist today losing the opener 8-6, but rebounding to win 10-7 in the series finale.

The Red Storm improve to 15-6/6-4 PWC and the Lancers drop to 20-7/11-5 PWC.

DSU scored six runs in the second game in the first inning, but the Lancers rebounded with four runs in the second and three in the third to tie the game at seven.

Marla Reiter (Rolinda, CA/Central High School) had two crucial hits and three RBI to push the Red Storm lead to three runs and Aryn Feickert (Lancaster, CA/Highland ) picked up the win in relief of Mattie Snow (Tooele, UT/Tooele High School).

Nicole Chavez (Chino Hills, CA/Ayala High School), Bailee Freeland (Ogden, UT/Bonneville High School), and Courtney Hine (San Dimas, CA/San Dimas High School) each had three hits in the Red Storm's 16 hit attack.
