ST. GEORGE, Utah - The Dixie State women's basketball returns to the floor for one final game before the new year with a matchup against Academy of Art on Wednesday at 12 p.m. in the Burns Arena.
Dixie State (4-6, 3-1) is coming out of the Holiday break after a win over Holy Names back on Dec. 20.
STORM STORYLINES
-Dixie State hosts the Urban Knights of Academy of Art, the No. 2 team in the PacWest. Academy of Art is still undefeated early in the conference season at 3-0, and is a half-game back of Hawaii Pacific. The Urban Knights won the PacWest last year with an 18-2 mark in league.
-Kaylah Miller (San Diego, CA/La Jolla Country Day) is Dixie State's career Division II leader in 3-point field goals made with 159 and counting. She passed Sheila Adams earlier this year (133).
-The two Taylors (Mann and Maynes) are averaging 18.9 points and 15.4 rebounds between the two of them.
-The Urban Knights' Krystal Forthan is the reigning PacWest Player of the Year. This year she is averaging 17.0 points per game and 9.2 rebounds.
