ST. GEORGE, Utah - The Dixie State women's basketball team opens Pacific West Conference play against two southern California schools in Point Loma Nazarene and Cal Baptist.
The Red Storm (1-3, 0-0) travel first to San Diego for the Sea Lions of Point Loma on Thursday, followed by a trip up the road to Riverside to take on the Cal Baptist Lancers.
STORM STORYLINES
--Dixie State opens up Pacific West Conference play on the road. DSU went 11-9 in league action in 2013-14.
--Kaylah Miller (San Diego, CA/La Jolla Country Day) is Dixie State's career Division II leader in 3-point field goals made with 146 and counting. She passed Sheila Adams earlier this year (133).
--The two Taylors (Mann and Maynes) are averaging 21.8 points and 15.3 rebounds between the two of them.
--Miller and Maynes are both in the PacWest top-25 for scoring. Miller leads DSU with 17.0 points per game and Maynes adds 11.5.
--The Red Storm also have three of the top rebounders in the league. Mann is No. 11 with 8.5, Maynes pulls down 6.8 and Emerine averages 6.3.
