ST. GEORGE, Utah - After a split to open Pacific West Conference play on the road, the Dixie State women's basketball team opens up league play in the Burns Arena against Fresno Pacific Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Red Storm (2-4, 1-1) beat Point Loma to begin the conference schedule and were tripped up by Cal Baptist. DSU looks to get back in the win column and build momentum heading into the new year.

STORM STORYLINES

-Coach Jenny Thigpin is squaring off against her old team in Fresno Pacific. Thigpin served as an assistant for the Sunbirds for two seasons prior to coming to Dixie State.

-Kaylah Miller (San Diego, CA/La Jolla Country Day) is Dixie State's career Division II leader in 3-point field goals made with 152 and counting. She passed Sheila Adams earlier this year (133).

-The two Taylors (Mann and Maynes) are averaging 19.0 points and 16.5 rebounds between the two of them.

-The Red Storm also have three of the top rebounders in the league. Maynes is No. 9 with 9.0, Mann pulls down 7.5 and Emerine averages 6.5.

-Leslie Tademy (Phoenix, AZ/South Mountain) is third in PacWest averaging 5.8 assists per game. She is also No. 3 in assist/turnover radio at 1.6.
