Dixie State has a unique schedule this year where the Red Storm just defeated Cal Baptist on Saturday in a 3-2 thriller, and now turns around and heads down to Riverside to take on the Lancers in the next match for a repeat.
CONFERENCE IMPLICATIONS
After BYU-Hawaii just lost to Fresno Pacific, the Red Storm and the Seasiders are tied atop the PacWest standings at 12-1. Cal Baptist sits at 9-4 with matches still to play against Point Loma, Dixie State, BYU-Hawaii and Fresno Pacific, the top four teams in the league. It is still anyone's league to win but the Storm can take a big step toward a title with a win in Riverside.
CAL BAPTIST AND AZUSA PACIFIC
Cal Baptist will be out for revenge after Dixie State downed the Lancers 3-2 last week in St. George. CBU throttled the Red Storm in the opening set before DSU settled down and beat them in five. Azusa Pacific fell in three sets to Dixie State earlier this year 3-0 in St. George and will also be looking to upset the Red Storm.
