Red Storm Shutout at #7 Western Washington

Box Score BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Dixie State women's soccer team dropped its second straight match today with a 3-0 loss to Western Washington University at Orca Field on the Whatcom CC campus.

The Red Storm (0-2-1) were outshot 23-8 by the 7th ranked Vikings (3-0) and only managed one shot on goal per half.

"Unfortunately, we didn't come to compete today," said head coach Kacey Bingham. "We underperformed against a team I think we could have competed with."

WWU found the back on the net three times, the first in the 44th minute, again in the 49th minute and the final in the 84th minute of the match.

Stacie Gubler (Las Vegas, NV/Palo Verde) had seven saves in goal for the Red Storm.

"We need to reevaluate where we are before we start conference play next week," concluded Bingham.
The Red Storm begins Pacific West conference action on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. when they take on Fresno Pacific University.
