#5 Seasiders Sweep Red Storm

Box Score LAIE, HI -- The Dixie State women's volleyball team lost to No. 5 BYU-Hawaii in three games. 25-19, 25-17, 25-20 in the Cannon Activites Center in Laie, Hawaii.

The Red Storm (13-8/10-5 PWC) could not overcome the powerful hitters of Shih Ting Chen and Erica Willes of the Seasiders (18-1/13-1 PWC). Chen had a match high 19 kills and Willes added 11 and also had a stellar hitting percentage of .611.

Dixie State hit well in the first game at .344, but a couple of service errors cost the Red Storm the game. They never could rebound and finished the match hitting .189.

Maddie Rex (Tucson, AZ/Sabino) had nine kills to lead DSU and Shelby Sorenson (Lehi, UT/Lehi) added 29 assists.

The Red Storm return home to conclude the regular season with a five game homestand. DSU host California Baptist on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. in the Student Activites Center.
