Storm Swept by PacWest Leader Point Loma

Box Score SAN DIEGO, Calf. -- For the second consecutive night the Dixie State were the victims of a three sets match, this time at the hands of Point Loma Nazarene Unviersity 25-16, 32-30, and 25-21.

The Red Storm (9-6/6-3 PWC) have lost nine consecutive games dating back to the Azusa Pacific match last Saturday when they won the first game of the match. Tonight was no different than last night, DSU had plenty of chances to steal a game from the SeaLions (15-3, 9-0 PWC), but never could overcome their steady attack.

In the loss, Makenzi Bird (Saint George, UT/Snow Canyon ) and Shannon Young (Whittier, CA/St Paul) each had nine kills despite the team hitting just .173 for the match.

DSU had no answer for the PLNU hitter Heather Leavitt who had a match-high 20 kills in victory. Kelli LeClair added 11 kills.

Dixie State conlcudes their road trip with an afternoon match tomorrow at Azusa Pacific. The Cougars defeats DSU 3-1 just one week ago. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m. MST.
