Goodman, Mason lead Red Storm to 6-0 win over Hawks

Shutout closes 3-1 trip to Bay Area

HAYWARD – Freshman midfielder Kasia Goodman had a second-half hat trick and sophomore forward Jennifer Mason (Springville, UT/Springville) posted two goals as the Dixie State College women's soccer team posted a 6-0 win over Holy Names University in Pacific West Conference action on the campus of CSU East Bay.
 
Goodman needed only four shots to post her goals in the 52nd, 55th and 86th minutes.

Mason closed out a solid road trip to the Bay Area for Dixie State (3-3-2/3-1 PWC) with two goals, including the game winner in the first half.
 
Freshman Megan Marchbanks (Springville, UT/Springville) netted an unassisted goal in the first half leading DSC to a 2-0 halftime lead.
 
Abby Johnson (Escondido, CA/Mission Hills) made saves on all five shots she faced.
 
Dixie State blasted 25 shots and had nine corner kick opportunities.
 
The Red Storm return home for the first of six straight home matches on Sept. 29 against Point Loma at 1:30 p.m.
