SB: UCSD forces Winner take all game with 3-2 win

SEASIDE, Calif. -- Needing to win just one game to advance to the NCAA D2 West Super Regional, the third-seeded Dixie State softball team dropped the opener to the sixth-seeded UC San Diego 3-2 in Seaside, Calif. at the Otter Sports Complex.

Red Storm (38-12) starter Mattie Snow (Tooele, UT/Tooele High School) gave up to bases loaded walks in the third and Lauren Folta (Erda. UT/Tooele High School) allowed a solo home run in the top of the 7th for the three Triton runs.

Dixie State loaded the bases in the bottom half of the seventh and scored two runs but UCSD pitcher Camille Gaito pitched out of the jam and ended the threat.
