Volleyball Dropped in Straight Sets by California Baptist

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- The Dixie State College volleyball team dropped a Pacific West Conference match to California Baptist 25-19, 25-17, and 25-19.

A trio of Lancers finished with double digit kills, led by Ingrid Carmona who had a match high 15. Malika O'Brien added 11 and Kim McCalmont ad 10. 

The Red Storm were led by Shannon Young (Whittier, CA/St Paul)'s eight kills, but managed to hit just .035 for the match as a team.

Brittany Kelly finished with a game high 20 digs and Jen Hardman (American Fork, UT/American Fork) added 19 assists. 

The Red Storm drop to 5-8 overall and 3-5 in the PacWest, while Cal Baptist improves to 13-2 overall and remained undefeated at 6-0 in PWC play.

Dixie State returns home for three consecutive home matches, beginning with Dominican on Thursday nigh Oct. 6 at 6pm in the Old Gym.
