Dixie State welcomes Great Northwest rival Simon Fraser as the Red Storm celebrate their Homecoming game at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Hansen Stadium. The game begins a two-game homestand that kicks-off the final three weeks of the regular season.

• Saturday will mark the sixth meeting all-time with the Clan, with DSC holding a 3-2 advantage. However, Simon Fraser has won the last two meetings including earlier this season in Burnaby, 43-28.
• With a 3-4 record in the GNAC, the Red Storm remains in fourth place and sits two games back of a trio of teams atop the league – Humboldt State, Central Washington and Western Oregon.
• Linebackers Jake Duncan (Corona, CA/Notre Dame) (6.5) and Matt Tanuvasa (Laie, HI/Southridge) (5.0) have combined for 11.5 tackles for loss through eight games, over 25 percent of the Red Storm's total TFL production. Defensive ends Tana Woodard (Honolulu, H/McKinley) and Tim Ehinger (Torrance, CA/West Torrance) each have five TFLs.
• After leading all NCAA divisions in sacks allowed last season, Dixie State has allowed three or less sacks in two of the last three weeks, including just two last week at Humboldt State.
• In two of the three DSC wins, the Storm has erased double-digit fourth quarter deficits to win.
• Dixie State is 2-4 in Homecoming games since the move to the NCAA. The last Homecoming win was in 2009, a 31-23 triumph over Western Oregon. Saturday will mark the first time DSC has hosted Simon Fraser on Homecoming.

A WIN BY DIXIE STATE WOULD...
• Match the highest win total for any DSC team in the D2 era with four - DSC went 4-7 in 2009.
• Keep the Red Storm undefeated at home against Simon Fraser - 18-15 in 2010 and 42-7 in 2011.
• Keep alive a chance for the Red Storm to finish with a season record above .500 for the first time in its NCAA history.

ROOKIE STORM NO MORE:
Through eight games, 16 freshman have seen game action for the Red Storm. Three have seen spots in the starting lineup - K Michael Meyers (St. George, UT/Dixie), K Austin Haslam (Philomath, OR/Philomath), OL Paul Toala (Redwood City, CA/Highline).
