SB: Cue's Sets Three School Records with Five Hits, Three Home Runs and Nine RBI in Red Storm Win Over Chaminade

WAIPAHU, HI-Anna Cue (Murrieta Valley, CA/Murrieta Valley High School) led the Dixie State College softball to a 20-5 victory over Chaminade University by setting three school records by collecting five hits, hitting three home runs and nine RBI. In game two the Red Storm prevailed 12-3 in five innings.

Cue hit a grand slam and a three run shot in the Dixie State (29-10, 19-3 PWC) 11 run top of the seventh. She also homered in the Red Storm four run 1st inning and an RBI single 5th frame.

The Red Storm tapped Chaminade (14-32, 8-16 PWC) for 21 hits, including six home runs and three other extra base hits.

Mattie Snow (Tooele, UT/Tooele High School) threw five and two thirds in relief, allowing only one hit and striking out six. She improved to 4-2 on the season.

Besides Cue's five hits, Jaelle Judkins (Saint George, UT/Dixie High School) added four hits and four other DSC hitters earned two hit games. Breanna Egge (Las Vegas. NV/Centennial High School) added four RBI and #Cassie Merrill had three RBI.

In the second game, Lauren Folta (Erda. UT/Tooele High School) pitched a complete game striking out two to improve to 14-5 on the season in the 12-3 five-inning run-rule shortened game.

She used a 10 hit and 12 run attack by the Red Storm offense to win. Kourtnie Schlacter (Mira Loma. CA/Jurupa Valley High School) had a RBI sacrifice fly and three run home run. Egge and Cue each had two hits in the win.
