VB: Jensen Leads Red Storm to victory over NDNU

BELMONT, Calif. – Junior outside hitter Brita Jensen (Taylorsville, UT/Taylorsville) had 13 kills to lead the Dixie State College volleyball team to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-18 win over Notre Dame de Namur.
 
Senior outside hitter Alex Shearer (Park City. UT/Park City), senior middle blocker Morgan Hill (Logan. UT/Logan), and freshman outside hitter# Lexi Cain (Saint George, UT/Desert Hills)# each had nine kills to add to the Red Storm attack. Dixie State committed only five attack errors for the night and hit a stellar .394 for the match.
 
The Red Storm improves to 10-6 overall and 5-3 in PacWest play. They have rattled off five consecutive wins and concluded their San Francisco Bay Area road trip undefeated.
 
The Argonauts drop to 2-18 overall and 2-6 in PacWest play. Christin Villamayor lead NDNU with 11 kills on then night.
 
For the Red Storm freshman setter Jen Hardman (American Fork, UT/American Fork) had 40 assists and senior libero Jayci Jeffress (Brighton. CO/Brighton) had 14 digs.
 
After playing five matches in six days, the Red Storm will have 12 days off before welcoming Chaminade University to Saint George on October 20th. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
