Hill leads Red Storm to Victory over Academy of Art

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the second consecutive night the Dixie State volleyball team defeated Academy of Art 25-15, 17-25, 25-14, 25-20 at Kezar Pavilion.
 
The Red Storm used 15 kills from senior middle blocker Morgan Hill (Logan. UT/Logan) to defeat the Urban Knights. Hill also added three block assists and hit .423 for the match.
 
“Morgan was strong up front tonight for us,” said Red Storm head coach Darice Pratt. “She was the spark we needed to lead to victory”
 
Senior libero Jayci Jeffress (Brighton. CO/Brighton) had 18 digs and freshman setter Jen Hardman (American Fork, UT/American Fork) added 28 assists. DSC was hot on cold from the service line, collecting 10 service aces, but having 10 service errors as well. Leading the way was senior outside hitter Jessica Hunt (Enterprise. UT/Enterprise) with four aces.
 
Camille Broad led the Urban Knights with 11 kills and Julie Cremoux had 19 digs on the night.
 
Dixie State improved to 8-6 overall and 3-3 in the PacWest and Academy of Art dropped to 5-9 overall and 2-2 in the PacWest.
 
After having tomorrow off, the Red Storm conclude their five game San Francisco Bay road trip with a match at Notre Dame de Namur on Thursday, Dominican on Friday and back at NDNU on Saturday.
