VB: Spikers drop match to Cal Baptist

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- The Dixie State College volleyball team dropped a PacWest conference match tonight to Cal Baptist University 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-17) at Vine Dyn Gym.

Jessica Kalama had a match-high 15 kills and Ingrid Carmona added 13 kills to lead the Lancers to victory over the Red Storm. CBU ended the night on with 47 kills and an impressive .413 hitting percentage.

For the Red Storm, Shannon Young (Whittier, CA/St Paul) led with just five kills and Morgan Hill (Logan. UT/Logan) and Jessica Hunt (Enterprise. UT/Enterprise) added four each.

With the win Cal Baptist improved to 14-8 overall and 6-4 in the PacWest and Dixie State dropped to 13-8 overall and 8-5 in the PacWest.

The Red Storm have the week off and will play their final home game on Saturday Novermber 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Student Activites Center.
