Red Storm and Argonauts End in 0-0 Draw

Box Score
SAINT GEORGE, Utah – The Dixie State College women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw for the second consecutive game with Notre Dame de Namur University tonight at Dixie High School's Flyer Field.

Playing for the second time this week, the Argonauts and the Red Storm managed to not find the goal. That's 220 minutes, including overtime, without scoring.  All the credit needs to go the goalkeepers.

For the Red Storm tonight, April Beck (American Fork, UT/American Fork) played the first 45 minutes recording two saves and then Abby Johnson (Escondido, CA/Mission Hills) entered and warded off four Argonaut shot attempts. Johnson made some special saves in the overtime periods to keep NDNU out of the nets.

For NDNU, credit Kelsey Baxter with her second consecutive shutout as she batted away nine Red Storm attempts.

The Red Storm kept the pressure on the Argonaut defense all night, taking 16 shots to NDNU's 13 shots.

Dixie State's record is 7-7-2 overall and 5-3-2 in PacWest play, while NDNU is 5-7-4 overall and 4-2-4 in the PacWest.

The Red Storm will play their final home game on Thursday evening at Hansen Stadium when they host Grand Canyon University on senior night beginning at 4:30 p.m.
