NDNU Ends Dixie State's Win Streak at Five

Red Storm loses 3-1 against Argonauts

BELMONT, CALIF. (Sept. 20) – Dixie State College could not hold a one goal lead on the road dropping their first Pacific West Conference match to the host Lady Argos of Notre Dame de Namur 3-1 on Monday afternoon.

The Storm (5-2-0, 2-1-0 PWC) outshot NDNU 18-to-15. Alexis Tershay had two goals and an assist for NDNU (4-2-0, 2-0-0 PWC) to stay undefeated in the Pac West.

Wendy Stratford (Layton, UT/Layton) scored in the 12th minute when Shayla Holmstead (Lehi, UT/Lehi) set her up perfectly with a long cross over the defense.

April Beck (American Fork, UT/American Fork) had her five-match win streak in the net snapped after allowing all three NDNU goals. She did make five saves in 75 minutes of action.

The Red Storm will look to bounce back with a match against Dominican University on Wednesday at 4:00pm Mountain time.
