Red Storm End Season with 99-80 win over Hawaii Pacific

Clark score 18 points and grabs 12 rebounds

SAINT GEORGE, UT-Playing in their final game of their careers, seniors Tanya Clark (Beaumont. CA/Beaumont) and Jessie Ingraham (Tuscon. AZ/Canyon Del Oro) led Dixie State College to a 99-80 win over PacWest Conference champions Hawaii Pacific University.
 
Clark led the Red Storm (17-8, 13-3 PWC) with 17 points and 12 rebounds and Ingraham had 17 points with three three-pointers. DSC was able to avenge the loss just that happened just 16 days ago on the Hawaiian Islands.
 
Ingraham connected on two of her three-pointers in the first four minutes of the game by leading the Red Storm on a 13-4 run to start the game. Clark would hit two free-throws with 6:14 remaining in the first half building the DSC lead to 19 points. DSC would lead 45-35 at the half.
 
In the second half, the PacWest Conference automatic qualifier Hawaii Pacific (17-6, 13-2 PWC) would not go down easy. Mana Hopkins would hit two of her game high 20 points with 16:48 left to give the Sea Warriors their first lead of the game at 47-46 and start the half on an 11-0.
 
After trading several more baskets, Ingraham would hit a lay-up with 12:20 left and lead the Red Storm on a 10-0 run and build their lead to 15 points at 69-54. Four Red Storm players would finish in double figures, Johnna Brown (Las Vegas, NV/Centennial ) and Deanna Daniels (North Las Vegas, NV/Centennial) each would score 17 points in the victory. Senior center Megan Tidwell (Poway. CA/Poway) finished with three points and one rebound.
 
The Red Storm would finish the game shooting well above their season average at 50.8 percent. The Red Storm would also only commit 10 turnovers while forcing HPU to 24. DSC would convert those turnovers into 34 points.
 
For the second consecutive season, Coach Angie Kristensen would lead Dixie State to a 17 win season. Her record now improves to 66-41 in four years at the helm.
