UP NEXT: Dixie State College of Utah begins their four-game Hawaiian road trip against the University of Hawaii-Hilo Vulcans on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 7:30pm HST (10:30 MST) at UHH Gym.
THE RECORDS: DSC enters the game with a 13-4 record after exacting revenge against Grand Canyon 78-68 at home on Feb. 6. Dixie State is 5-4 this season on the road including a 3-1 road record in Pac West play. UH Hilo is 13-7 on the year and 7-3 in the Pac West after a 62-59 win over Dominican on Friday.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Hawaii-Hilo holds a 3-2 advantage in the series. The teams split two games last year – UHH won 96-88 in OT in Hilo while DSC took a 87-78 win in the Burns Arena. In the 2007-2008 season, the squads each one a game in St. George while Hilo held home court winning by 15 in overtime.

RED STORM WATCH: Tom Whitehead (St. George, UT/Dixie) leads the team in scoring average at a 15.6 point per game clip. Donovan Plunkett (Oroville, CA/Las Plumas) (13.7) and Andy Palmer (St. George. UT/Pine View) (11.6) also average double figures. Freshman Zach Robbins (Upland, CA/Upland) paces the club pulling down 6.6 rebounds a game with Palmer (5.5) and Whitehead (5.3) following. DSC averages 73.8 points a game shooting 47.7% FG while allowing 66.6 points to opponents.

· MILESTONE - With six assists against NDNU, on 1/25 Adam Ross (Torrance. CA/North Torrance ) became the fifth DSC player to reach the 100 Assist Club. He joins four former Dixie State players (Dan Stock, Ryan Sanchez (Ogden. UT/Fremont), Bowie Jeffs (Castle Dale. UT/Emery) & Ben Hartman (Santa Clara. UT/Snow Canyon)).

SCOUTING HAWAII-HILO: The Vulcans of Hawaii Hilo know how to hold home court. UH Hilo is 10-1 this year in their UHH Gym with the only loss coming at the hands of Hawaii Pacific by a point. The team is heavy with guards, but the two starting forwards account for 26.6 PPG. Junior forward Justin Smith and senior guard Brian Ngo pace the Vulcans in scoring. Smith also leads the team in rebounding at 7.7 a game. Hilo is coached by Jeff Law in his 12th year. He has compiled a career coaching record of 178-133.
