Ingraham leads Red Storm over Academy of Arts

33 points from Senior Guard paces Dixie State

Box Score SAN FRANCISCO, CA-Senior guard Jessie Ingraham (Tuscon. AZ/Canyon Del Oro) scored 33 points leading Dixie State College to a 77-69 win over Academy of Arts University. Ingraham set a single game scoring record for DSC by shooting10-18 from the floor, hitting on 5-6 three pointers, was 8-10 from the free-throw line and added 7 rebounds. Her fifth three-pointer of the night with 6:02 left in the game gave the Red Storm a three point lead at 62-59 and they never looked back from there. Leading at the break 37-36, the Urban Knights opened the second half on a 13-8 run to take a 50-45 lead on a Verity Peets layup with 13:03 left. The lead would exchange hands three more times until Ingraham would her game winner. Dixie State would win the battle of boards 44-30, eleven of those boards would come from Freshman post player Deanna Daniels (North Las Vegas, NV/Centennial). She also would collect 11 points and collect her first career double-double. Junior College transfer Veronica Siqueiros (Phoenix, AZ/Trevor G Brown) would also score 15 points for the Red Storm. AAU would have four players in double figures with Lorraine Etchell scoring 20 points leading the way. Dixie State will have Sunday off and then end their three-game road swing on Monday evening when they take on Dominican University, tip off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
