SAN FRANCISCO, CA-The Dixie State College volleyball team made light work of Academy of Art University in its first PacWest road trip of the year. The Red Storm defeated the Urban Knights in three games, 25-14, 28-26, 25-22.

Pacing the Red Storm was Senior OH Katie Luna (Mesa. AZ, Westwood High '05, Scottsdale CC)with a match high 15 kills. Freshman OH Brita Noble (Taylorsville, UT, Taylorsville) and Sophomore OH Alex Shearer (Park City. UT, Park City) added 8 kills a peice. The Red Storm hit a stellar .286 for the match. 

Coach Gregg Jensen said, "We played we tonight, its nice to be able to travel and play well."

With the victory Dixie State remains undefeated in PacWest play at 3-0 and improves to a school best 9-3 start. The Urban Knights drop to 12-4 overall and 1-2 in PacWest play.

Dixie State will travel just across the bay to take Notre Dame de Namur tomorrow afternoon at 1PM.
