CA/Poway) played the game of her career and set a record in the process. Dixie State College pulled away with a huge second half to defeat the host Chaminade Silverswords 93-54 inside McCabe Gym Wednesday night.

Dixie State improved to 12-8 on the year and 5-2 in the Pacific West Conference. Chaminade (0-18. 0-9) dropped its 43rd straight game in a row.

Tidwell had a double-double in the second half en route to a team-high 21 points (9-9 FG. 3-4 FT) and 17 rebounds. The rebound amount sets a Dixie State record for boards in a game. eclipsing the mark of 13 set by Jessica Carver (Layton. UT/Layton) against Hawaii Pacific on January 8. 2006. Tidwell also doled out six assists. had two steals and blocked one shot.

In her first start of the year. Deney Phommabout (West Valley CIty. UT/Hillcrest) scored 14 points. grabbed five rebounds and made three steals. Jessica Rodgers (Covington. WA/Kentwood) (14). Sammi Griffiths (Orderville. UT/Valley) (11) and Keeshya Cox (Kansas City. MO/North Kansas City) (9) each set season-highs in points.

The Red Storm had a slim two-point lead at the half shooting 25-percent from the floor after one of the most sluggish halves of basketball all season. The squad made a complete-180 and hit 60-percent in the second half. DSC used a 29-2 run halfway through the second period to seal the win over the Silverswords. The 69 points by Dixie eclipsed a record for points in a half.

Jasmine Dulan led Chaminade with a game-high 27 points while Ayla Mull corralled seven boards.

Dixie State outshot Chaminade 44.4-percent to 37.3-percent and bested the battle of the board 51-40. The Red Storm forced 21 steals and 32 total Chaminade turnovers.

The Red Storm will conclude its four-game Hawaiian road trip Saturday night on the Big Island against Hawaii-Hilo. Game time is 5:30pm Hawaiian.
