Dixie State softball finished another successful weekend with a 4-1 victory over New Mexico Highlands on Sunday.

The game didn't have offensive fireworks. but the Red Storm mustered up enough offense to score two runs in both the third and fifth innings on four hits.

"It wasn't a high offense day. but we managed to scratch it together." Dixie State coach Beth Collett said.

Dabney McIntyre (Taylorsville. UT/Taylorsville High School) had two of the Red Storm's four hits. Lauren Folta (Erda. UT/Tooele High School) earned the win. while New Mexico Highland's Kelsie Groff picked up the loss.

With the victory. Dixie State improved to 9-1 on the year.

"We did really well (this weekend)." Collett said. "We have had some great offensive games. Brittnie Whipple came in and closed out four games for us. She did an outstanding job. It was good all the way around."
