Dixie State College of Utah faces Montana State Billings inside Alterowitz Gymnasium on Monday, December 21 at 7:00pm Mountain.
THE RECORDS: DSC enters the game 5-1 after defeating Cal State Dominguez Hills 72-59 on December 12. Dixie State is 2-1 this season away from the Burns Arena including one win a neutral court. Montana State has a record of 4-2, bouncing back with an 85-64 win over Northern New Mexico College on Dec. 11 after losing to the Storm in the DSC Classic final on Dec. 5. The Yellowjackets have not lost in three games at home.

RED STORM WATCH: Dixie State College has won three games in a row and five of the first six games this season. Tom Whitehead (St. George, UT/Dixie) leads the team in scoring average at a 14.7 point per game clip. Andy Palmer (St. George. UT/Pine View) (12.0) and Donovan Plunkett (Oroville, CA/Las Plumas) (11.8) also average double figures through five games. Zach Robbins (Upland, CA/Upland) paces the club pulling down 6.7 rebounds a game with Palmer (5.2) and Whitehead (3.8) following. Dixie State averages 71.3 points a game shooting 46.3% FG while allowing 66.0 points to opponents.
STORM FAST BREAK TIDBITS:
-- Head coach Jon Judkins reached career coaching victory number 350 last Saturday night with DSC's win over CSUDH. He has won 66 games in six seasons at Dixie State and 284 in 10 previous seasons at Snow College. Judkins has won three conference Coach of the Year awards – 1998-99, 1999-2000 in the Scenic West and 2008-09 in the Pacific West.
-- Kacen Smith (Saint George, UT/Dixie) is expected to miss the remainder of the season after injuring his right knee. Smith averaged 2.0 points and 1.7 rebounds in over 13 minutes per game. The freshman guard played in all six games before the injury.
-- Kevin Lindquist (Gilbert. AZ/Lone Peak) hit his first three-pointer in three seasons at Dixie State on Saturday night. Lindquist missed his only attempt two years ago and was 0-2 from behind the arc last season.

SCOUTING MSU BILLINGS: The Yellowjackets sit at 4-2 on the season after splitting their last two games. MSUB lost to Dixie State on Dec. 5 in the finals of the DSC Classic, but rebounded nicely at home on Dec. 11 with a 21-point win over Northern New Mexico College, an NAIA school. Four players average more than 10 points a game led by DeAndre Chambers with 13.8PPG off the bench. Derrick Wright leads the Jackets in rebounding at 5.5 a game. MSUB is coached by George Pfeifer – who took the Yellowjackets from a one-win team in 2007 to a 10-win season a year ago. Pfeifer has previously coached at the University of Idaho, Lewis-Clark State, Rocky Mountain College and Hardin (MT) High School.
