The Mountaineers drop to 1-1 on the season after winning yesterday over Midwestern State. Western State was led by Brooke Pendergraft (17 points/9 rebounds) and Katie Hall (14/8).
Daniels added six rebounds, one block, and was six for nine from the floor and Siqueiros added four assists, and six rebounds. Freshman

Dixie State was outpaced early in the game, trailing by as many as six points, when freshman guard
Chanel Maxey (Anaheim, CA/Canyon) buried a 3-pointer with 15:46 left to give the Red Storm a 7-6 lead. DSC never trailed in the game again and the Red Storm led by nine points at the break.
Western State battled back and tied the game at 43 with 16:15 left in the game on a Krista Cona layup. But DSC went on a 24-11 run and built a 13 point lead to put the Mountaineers away.
Despite committing 21 turnovers, the Red Storm shot 40.3% from the floor and won the rebounding war 46-39 to pull out the victory.
Dixie State will play host to three schools in the Dixie State Thanksgiving Tournament. #5 Fort Lewis (CO), Academy of Art (CA), and Pittsburg State (KS) will come to town for a Friday November 27 and Saturday November 28 battle.
The Red Storm will face Pittsburg State on Friday for a 5:30 PM tipoff and Saturday afternoon 3:00 PM game against #5 Fort Lewis.
