ST GEORGE. UT- Dixie State College entered tonights matchup against Academy of Arts University riding a two game win streak and trying to make it three in a row.

Dixie State (6-7. 2-2 PACWEST) struggled early. allowing AAU (11-6) to take the lead. DSCU was able to battle back and force the first game to extras on Mariesa Nielson (Oak City. UT/Delta High '05)'s kill to knot it up at 28. AAU won the first set on two DSCU errors to take the one game to none lead. For AAU that was all she wrote.

In game two. Dixie State built leads of 10.11. and 12 points to win 25-16. In game three. Anna Bullard (Farmington. UT/Davis HS '07) started the set with service aces and finished the set with 5 total and lead DSCU to a 25-12 victory.

In the final frame. DSCU started with a 10-3 lead and never looked back. winning 25-18.

Dixie State was lead by Cami Johnson (Morgan. UT/Morgan HS '06)'s 18 kills. junior Katy Luna and Amanda Goodell (Fort Collins. CO/Rocky Mtn HS '07) ad 10 a piece. Ann Bullard had 39 assists.

In the loss for AAU KaUwila Lavea had 16 kills and Dan Young had 14.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow in the Old Gym at NOON.
