ST GEORGE. UT-The Dixie State College volleyball team returned home after an eight day rode trip to the islands where they finished 1-3. Their lone win came against Hawaii Pacific University.



Tonight's match was a different story. they hosted Notre Dame De Namur University. a team that is winless in conference play and only has one win overall. Dixie State swept NDNU (1-28. 0-11 PACWEST) 3-0. (25-17. 26-24. 25-14)



Dixie State (9-12. 5-6 PACWEST)opened the first set with a bang. Katy Luna added 10 kills in the first set on her way to a match high 17 kills. Anna Bullard (Farmington. UT/Davis HS '07) added 28 assists.



Dixie State dominated the match by hitting .238 and had 10 service aces. Four of the service aces came from Bullard in the final set. The Dixie State defense forced 19 hitting errors and recorded 9 team blocks.



Coach Gregg Jensen said. "Its great to be back home in our comfortable enviroment. home has been good to us this year"



Dixie State improved its home record to 5-2 and will play host to Notre Dame de Namur again tomorrow night in the Old Gym. First serve is slated for 7:00 PM.
