Abby Johnson is in her fourth season on the Trailblazer sideline. She began coaching Spring 2013 following the completion of her senior season.
Johnson was a four-year letter winner at DSU and was a member of the program’s first PacWest championship and NCAA tournament team in 2009. She logged 3,166 career minutes in goal with a .734 overall save percentage and 135 saves in the net, including 83 stops as a senior in 2012. She finished with 15 career wins in goal and a 1.39 GAA.
A native of San Diego, Calif., Johnson graduated from Mission Hills High School in 2009, where she earned three varsity letters and received MVP accolades her sophomore and senior seasons. She was also a First Team all-region CIF selection her senior year. While in high school, she played with the Southern California Blues Soccer Club, the top ranked women’s club in the nation.
Abby and her husband, Jesse, are the parents of two daughters, Adelaide and Indie.
