PHOENIX, AZ - Dixie State junior Rachel Young (Holliday, UT/Olympus) has been named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the third time this season.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 3, for races contested on Oct. 1.

Young finished third out of 55 runners from four-year schools at the UNLV Desert Invitational in Las Vegas, NV.

With the exception of Dixie State, the field consisted of entirely NCAA Division I teams.

Young posted a time of 18:33 on the 5K course.
