Junior Rachel Young (Holliday, UT/Olympus) has been chosen the first Pacific West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week of 2011.

Young finished 10th in the predominantly Division I George Kyte Classic hosted by Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz.

She posted a time of 18:12.3 on the 5K course to help the Red Storm to a fifth-place finish. Young was the top runner from non-Division I schools.
