Sione Tapuosi was named DSC Male Athlete of the Week on Monday for his spectacular efforts rushing the ball against Simon Fraser on October 23. The announcement was made from the Sports Information Office by Assistant SID John Potter.

Tapuosi bulldozed over Clan defenders in the second half accruing 112 yards on 20 carries. His solid north-south running allowed the Red Storm to control the clock and keep Simon Fraser off the scoreboard in the second half. Sione has rushed for nearly 170 yards in his last two games playing primarily in the second half.

This is Tapuosi's first Male Athlete of the Week honor.
