For helping Dixie State baseball claim its first Pacific West Conference title since 2011, junior designated hitter Kevin Kline has been named Male Athlete of the Week – presented by Northwestern Mutual.
 
Kline led DSU in hitting (.438, 7-for-16), doubles (2), RBI (4) and total bases (9) in a series victory at Point Loma last weekend. His bases-clearing double in game three led the Storm to a comeback victory that ensured at least a share of the PacWest title.
 
This is Kline’s second Athlete of the Week award.
 
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Austin Bartleson (BASE) – Had a double and a solo HR during the PLNU series.
Matt Hill (BASE) – Allowed three hits in 3.2 innings of relief and picke dup his first save of the year in the PacWest title clinching game.
Chance Abrath (BASE) – improve to 6-1 on the year scattering a run on three hits over 6.2 innings of the Storm’s series opening win over the Sea Lions.
