For his efforts in the three game to one series victory over a nationally ranked conference for, Dixie State relief pitcher Evan Parker has been named the Northwestern Mutual Athlete of the Week.

Parker closed out all three of Dixie State's wins over No. 3 Cal Baptist in their weekend series. He earned the save in the first two wins, striking out one in each one-inning appearance. He then finished off Dixie State's 12-inning comeback victory in the series finale. He earned the win, throwing just six pitches to retire the four batters he faced. In 8.1 innings pitched this season, Parker has allowed no runs and just two hits, while earning a league-leading four saves.
