Thompson’s scoring prowess kept the No. 7 Red Storm unbeaten on the season with two road wins in Hawai’i, averaging 24.0 ppg on 66.7 percent shooting (18-27). He scored 23 points against Hawai’i Hilo, including a game-tying three-pointer with 28 seconds left that forced overtime. Two nights later, he scored a career-high 25 points, shooting 11-for-17 from the field at Chaminade. Thompson earned the Player of the Week award from the Pacific West Conference.
